Nickelodeon USA To Premiere "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" On 31st March 2012; Jonathan Liebesman In Talks For New 'TMNT' Movie

UPDATE (18/03/2012) - Nickelodeon announced and confirmed at their recent annual upfront presentation, Nickelodeon Upfront 2012, that Nickelodeon USA will premiere Nickelodeon's brand new CGI-animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television series during Fall 2012 (Autumn 2012) as part of Nickelodeon USA's 2012-2013 season. Nickelodeon USA has still to confirm whether or not Nickelodeon USA will still be giving TMNT fans and Nickelodeon viewers a sneak peek of Nickelodeon's brand new CGI-animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television series on Saturday 31st March 2012 after this years Kids' Choice Awards ceremony (the Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Awards/Nickelodeon's 25th Annual Kids' Choice Awards).

According to this Nickelodeon News article on the Flickering Myth Movie Blog, Nickelodeon USA will premiere (or hold a sneak peek of) Nickelodeon's brand new CGI-animated (animated using computer-generated imagery) "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television series on Saturday 31st March 2012, possibly just after Nickelodeon USA holds the "Nickelodeon 2012 Kids' Choice Awards" on the same night.

"Battle: Los Angeles" helmer Jonathan Liebesman is in negotiations to direct Paramount's live-action reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form would produce for Platinum Dunes.

Plot details are being kept under wraps except that it would be a new reimaging of the famous comic and cartoon series.

Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec penned the script.

Liebesman's next film "Wrath of the Titans" bows March 30.

He is repped by CAA, Principato-Young Entertainment and attorney Karl Austen.
