Nickelodeon Greenlights Additional 20 Episodes Of Top-Rated Comedy "Sam & Cat"; Announces Sophia Grace And Rosie To Reprise Their Roles; To Premiere Show Internationally From October 2013

Russell Hicks, the President of Content Development and Production at Nickelodeon, has today (Thursday 11th July 2013) announced in the following Nick press release, from PRNewswire, the fantastic Nickelodeon News that that Nickelodeon has ordered 20 additional episodes of its top-rated comedy "Sam & Cat"! "Sam & Cat" is currently the network's number-one live-action series, averaging 3.7 million total viewers since the shows launch on Saturday 8th June 2013. The series airs regularly Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon USA.

In the same press release, Nickelodeon has also announced that brand-new episodes of "Sam & Cat" will continue to roll out this year and debut on Nickelodeon channels internationally (Planet Nickelodeon) beginning October 2013, including on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland, Nickelodeon Australia & New Zealand, and Nickelodeon South East Asia.

Nickelodeon in the US has ordered another 20 episodes of its live-action series Sam & Cat as it gears up for the show’s international roll out later this year.

The teen sitcom is currently the network’s number-one live-action series, averaging 3.7 million total viewers since launch, according to Viacom International Media Networks.

The series is created by executive producer Dan Schneider and follows the respective female leads from previous Nick series iCarly and Victorious as they launch a babysitting service.

The order brings the total number of episodes in the show’s first season to 40. New episodes of Sam & Cat will continue to air this year and will debut on Nick channels internationally in October.
