Nickelodeon takes adventure to new heights in the brand-new CG-animated preschool series Top Wing (26 episodes), premiering Monday 14th May 2018 at 18.15 on Nick Jr. Italy (Italia)! The action-packed series follows a team of eager young birds as they work together to help their island community, go on amazing adventures and earn their wings as full-feathered rescue birds. Produced by 9 Story Media Group, the show features storylines that help preschoolers build self-confidence, and includes lessons about perseverance and hard work. Top Wing will air daily at 18.15 on Nick Jr. Italia.

Top Wing follows four best friend rescue birds–Swift, Penny, Rod and Brody–who are training to earn their wings at the Top Wing Academy on Big Swirl Island. With the help of their mentor Speedy, and unique turbo-charged vehicles and high-tech gadgets, the cadets are assigned different missions to sharpen their rescue skills and help those in need while learning valuable lessons along the way.

In Top Wing’s series premiere, “Time to Earn Our Wings,” cadets-in-training Swift, Penny, Rod and Brody gather at Top Wing Academy where they learn to pilot their new vehicles and become the best rescue team Big Swirl Island has ever seen.

Meet the Top Wing cadets:

  • Swift – A daring and playful blue jay who is the fastest turbo-charged pilot in the sky.
  • Penny – A curious penguin and undersea expert who is always up for a challenge in her super submarine.
  • Rod – An energetic and funny rooster who is ready to fly across the island on his all-terrain vehicle.
  • Brody – A laid-back puffin who loves to fly across, over and on the waves in turbo-charged vehicle.

Top Wing is created by Matthew Fernandes of Industrial Brothers (Dot, Yup Yups, Gummandos) and executive produced by Scott Kraft (co-creator, Fresh Beat Band; executive producer/head writer, PAW Patrol), Vince Commisso for 9 Story Media Group and Matthew Fernandes and Arthur Spanos for Industrial Brothers. Nickelodeon Latin America Announces 'Copa Nick Vs Nick' Competition

This May, 16 hit Nickelodeon shows will be going head-to-head to be crowned victorious in Nickelodeon Latin America's (Latinoamérica) Copa Nick Vs Nick tournament!


Each week throughout May, Nickelodeon Latinoamérica will be inviting fans to vote for their favourite animated and live-action Nick shows online at mundonick.com/copanickvsnick, with the show with the least votes at the end of the week being eliminated from the competition, and the show with the most votes going onto the next round and being featured in a special two-hour marathon on Nickelodeon at the weekend, beginning at 12:30 on Nickelodeon México and Nickelodeon Colombia, and at 11:00 on Nickelodeon Argentina!


Each week, two shows will battle it out head-to-head for fans' votes, until there is only two remaining shows in the grand final. In the Copa Nick Vs Nick grand final, fans will be able to vote for which show they want to be named the Copa Nick Vs Nick 2018 champion! The launch brackets are:

When the Miss United States beauty pageant receives a threat from a notorious criminal to bomb the pageant, hardnosed FBI agent Gracie Hart (Golden Globe-nominee Sandra Bullock, Speed) is assigned to go undercover as a contestant in the competition and track him down. Gracie is none too happy about this, and when top expert Victor Melling (Academy Award and Golden Globe-winner and Emmy-nominee Michael Caine, Batman Begins) arrives to help transform her from a tomboy into a convincingly elegant Miss New Jersey, she proves to be a most difficult student. Nevertheless, after Gracie enters the pageant, she soon forms a strong bond with her fellow contestants, and begins to worry for their safety as the killer continues to elude arrest.

Nickelodeon x goGame mobile game to launch in third quarter of 2019



BALI/ SINGAPORE, 25 APRIL 2018 - Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB), today announced its first Southeast Asia game collaboration with mobile game publisher goGame. Under the agreement, the Singapore-based game publisher will develop a new mobile game based on Nickelodeon characters. The Nickelodeon x goGame mobile game, which will be named at a later stage, is slated to launch in the third quarter of 2019. It will be the first game licensed to an Asian game developer that brings a family of Nickelodeon properties together.

The Nickelodeon x goGame mobile game is a multi-property game of city building and nostalgic recollection, which will bring back Nickelodeon favourites like Rugrats, Rocko’s Modern Life and Invader Zim, along with evergreen properties like SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It will immerse users into building a Nickelodeon city of their own, where they can collect Nickelodeon characters, costumes and animations, from across the Nickelodeon universe, which are drawn in highly stylistic pixel art.

First international kids linear channel to be available on Telkomsel’s platform



BALI, 25 APRIL 2018 - Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB), today announced its expanded collaboration with Indonesia’s leading mobile operator, Telkomsel to launch Nick Jr. linear channel on Telkomsel’s network in Indonesia. It also marks VIMN’s first linear channel deal with a mobile partner in Indonesia.

Packaging details will be announced as part of the rollout at a later date before the end of the second quarter of the calendar year. The preschool linear channel will be available in English and Bahasa Indonesia localization(1). Last year, Telkomsel debuted the Emmy(2) award-winning Nickelodeon Play app in Indonesia.

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nickelodeon is bringing back the original kids’ game show Double Dare this summer with 40 brand-new episodes, giving a new generation of fans the chance to compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives. With Double Dare remaining an iconic touchstone for its original millennial audiences, the new version will feature the gameplay and challenges they remember, as well as appearances from blasts from the past and stars from today.

Double Dare features two teams competing to win prizes by answering brain-bending trivia questions, completing messy, physical stunts and ultimately facing the infamous obstacle course--the human hamster wheel; the classic gigantic mouth; the wringer; and the iconic Double Dare nose.


Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network’s longest running game show. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988, and was later revamped as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. Updates: EW.com reports that, while most components and some past contestants will be returning for the Double Dare reboot, original host Marc Summers won’t, as a new emcee is expected to be named soon.

To get fans excited Double Dare “will spill off of the screen and into the real world this summer” with “a series of location-based live experiences” that will let guests actually play some games. There are already events planned at Vidcon 2018 in Anaheim, and at the Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America in Minnesota.

YTV In Canada To Premiere 'School Of Rock' Series Finale On Friday 27th April 2018

All great things must come to an end, and sadly, that includes Nickelodeon's popular musical comedy series, School of Rock, which will be sadly coming to an end after 45 episodes over three seasons on Friday 27th April 2018 with the premiere of the shows brand-new two-part special, "I Love Rock and Roll" at 7:00pm ET/PT on YTV in Canada.


In "I Love Rock and Roll" (#317-318), when Dewey's old band gets to play his dream venue at the Austin Music Festival, he is forced to make a choice between his former life or School of Rock. The band let him go, but this might mean the School of Rock will have to be broken up.


"I Love Rock and Roll" features a ton of guest stars, including Lilimar Hernandez (Knight Squad) as Erika and Jack Griffo (The Thundermans) as Slade Von Slade (above), Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, and Patrick Monahan from Train!


The School of Rock series finale made its world premiere on Nickelodeon USA earlier this month.

Vietnam: Nick & You To Premiere 'Swindle' On Monday 30th April 2018

Nick & You, the Nickelodeon-branded programming block that airs on the Vietnamese TV channel You TV (Hanoicab 2), will premiere the popular Nickelodeon Original Movie Swindle on Tuesday 1st May 2018!


Swindle is a 90-minute comedy caper which features an ensemble cast of Nickelodeon fan favorites who have teamed up for the first time ever: Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande from Sam & Cat; Noah Crawford and Chris O'Neal from How to Rock and You Gotta See This; Ciara Bravo from Big Time Rush and Jinxed; and Noah Munck from iCarly. Swindle is based on the popular children's book by Gordon Korman.


In Swindle, an evil collector cons Griffin (Crawford) out of a million dollar baseball card that could have saved his best friend's (O'Neal) home, so he unites a ragtag group of his classmates - Amanda (Ariana Grande), Savannah (Jennette McCurdy), Darren (Noah Munck) and Melissa (Ciara Bravo) - to take down the swindler. It's a valiant adventure that will take them through daring heists, crazy disguises and a pie fight face-off – but throughout it all, the kids have to bring their skills together as a team to get justice.

Swindle is written by Eric Freiser (Road to Ruin) and Bill Motz (Brandy & Mr. Whiskers) & Bob Roth (Lion King 2). Marjorie Cohn (Big Time Movie, Rags), Lauren Levine (Bridge to Terabithia, Best Player), Karen Glass, Paul Barry and Loris Lunsford serve as executive producers. The movie is directed by Jonathan Judge (Big Time Rush, Fred 3) with Scott McAboy's Pacific Bay Entertainment producing. Swindle made its world debut on Nickelodeon USA on Saturday 24th August 2013.

Nick & You, the Nickelodeon-branded programming block that airs on the Vietnamese TV channel You TV (Hanoicab 2), hits the sandy beaches of Hawaii in Nickelodeon's popular original TV movie, A Fairly Odd Summer, premiering Monday 30th April 2018! Drake Bell (Drake & Josh) and Daniella Monet (Victorious) reprise their starring roles as Timmy Turner and Tootie in this third live-action installment of The Fairly OddParents franchise. A Fairly Odd Summer follows Timmy on a daring mission to the tropical beaches of Hawaii to save his summer, his family, Tootie and all of fairy kind from the claws of evil anti-fairy Foop, played by Scott Baio (See Dad Run).


Summer's here and the whole Fairly Odd gang is off to Hawaii… everyone except Timmy. Now a responsible adult, Timmy's new job in Fairly World is to watch over the precious Abracadabrium, the source of all fairy magic. But when Timmy decides to bring the Abracadabrium with him to Hawaii, he catches the evil eyes of Anti-fairy Foop and Denzel Crocker (David Lewis, Man of Steel), who form an evil alliance and steal the Abracadabrium to rule the world.


A Fairly Odd Summer is based on the animated series and characters created by Butch Hartman and made its world premiere in August 2014 on Nickelodeon USA. LONDON, UK: 24th April 2018 - Entertainment One (eOne) today shares details of a major partnership with iQIYI that will see its Emmy and BAFTA award-winning preschool property, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, launch in China on a leading VOD platform and at retail in 2018.

Series 1 of Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, which hails from the creators of Peppa Pig, will be accessible on one of China’s largest internet video streaming services, iQIYI, from early May 2018. iQIYI will also manage licensing rights for the property in the region spearheaded by a publishing launch in summer/autumn 2018 followed by a hard launch spanning multiple categories later in 2018.

New York - Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB) and Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA) have announced a multi-year agreement to partner on advanced advertising and data. This partnership will integrate Viacom’s targeted advertising expertise and national reach with FreeWheel’s next-generation TV and premium video advertising technology informed by Comcast’s anonymized audience data, to offer marketers greater precision and efficiency in reaching consumers across all platforms.

Viacom Renews and Expands Snapchat Deal, Plans New Content from Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, and Comedy Central

Viacom Inc. has renewed and expanded its global deal with Snap Inc., committing to develop and produce new Snapchat Shows and more Our Stories for Snapchat’s Discover page.

Snapchat versions of MTV’s Girl Code and Cribs have been renewed. A new show based on MTV's Promposal, about high-schoolers setting up elaborate prom date proposals, is also set to launch.

Viacom first announced its deal for Snapchat Shows two years ago for a revival of Cribs, providing an inside look at celebrity mansions and other domiciles, based on the long-running series that originally aired on MTV starting in 2000. On Snapchat, the first seasons of Cribs and Girl Code hit last summer.

Viacom is committed to producing additional shows in various formats from MTV, BET and Comedy Central. Some are already in development.


Viacom will sell advertising in the programs and it and Snapchat will share revenue. The shares were not disclosed.

In addition, Viacom also plans to produce more Our Stories for Snapchat around its cable brands’ tentpole events, including: Kids' Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, Countdown to the VMA, VMA Awards, VMA Red Carpet, MTV EMA Awards, MTV TV and Movie Awards Red Carpet, MTV TV and Movie Awards, CMT Awards, BET Awards, BET Experience, BET Red Carpet and BET Hip Hop Awards.

Some of the programming is being produced by Viacom Digital Studios, a new unit designed to create content for digital online and social platforms.

Viacom and Snapchat have been working together since 2015 when a Live Story was created form MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMAs). The Live Story was sponsored by Taco Bell, Verizon, American Legacy and Covergirl.

The two companies made a multiyear deal in 2016, which included an exclusive ad sales relationship. As part of the agreement Viacom created channels for Snapchat’s Discovery service and said it would invest in original programming for Snapchat. Viacom was also allowed to offer ad space in other Snapchat programming, outside its own original content. Viacom no longer has those exclusive rights to sell Snapchat ads, but controls sales on its own Snapchat content, according to a source familiar with the arrangement.

Snapchat has been working with a number of TV programmers to bring original content to its platforms. It launched its Discovery feature in 2015 with launch partners including Comedy Central, CNN, Food Network, National Geographic and Vice.

Snapchat has struck deals with a number of publishers and media companies to create a video service that's somewhat like cable TV for mobile apps, sharing the resulting ad revenue. There are channels curated by the publishers, which typically post fresh content every day; there is the Shows format, which is episodic just like TV; and there are Snapchat Stories, which are video montages from media companies around special events—the MTV Awards, for example.

Snapchat recently redesigned its app to separate the Discover media section from the personal messaging side, creating a distinct feed of content. That's where Shows, channels and Stories now appear, with ads running in between the content.

The Promposal made-for-Snapchat show (premiere date TBD) will be a variation on the original linear series, which follows teens who’ve come up with creative, romantic or bizarre ways of asking someone to prom.

The second season of Cribs on Snapchat will return with new episodes later this summer or fall. In season 1, which ranked as the most-viewed premiere of a Snapchat Show ever last year, featured DJ and producer Steve Aoki, pro skateboarder Nyjah Huston, and the Denver Broncos’ Von Miller.

Season 2 of Girl Code, also based on a show on the MTV linear network, started running on Snapchat in late March featuring the original cast of female actors, musicians and stand-up comics, as well as new up-and-comers dispensing a range of female direct advice and anecdotes. The second part of the 12-episode second season will air on Snapchat in May 2018.

"This partnership builds on our great work together: Snap's growing efforts to bring original shows to its platform, and Viacom's accelerated push to create original digital programming for a new generation of mobile-first audiences through Viacom Digital Studios," Viacom said in its announcement.

BALI/ SYDNEY, 24 APRIL 2018 - Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a division of Viacom Inc (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB), today announced plans to launch fully-authenticated versions of Nick Jr. Play with Foxtel and Fetch in Australia in 2018.


Nick Jr. Play is an interactive app experience that offers preschoolers access to Nick Jr. shows, games and music including full episodes, educational games, original videos and even some silly surprises. Designed and programmed to promote discovery, preschoolers will be able to explore on their own with easy-to-use swiping and tapping, Nick Jr. Play will also provide Foxtel and Fetch subscribers the ability to unlock the full library of available videos and games that will include content from the network’s most popular programming including PAW Patrol, Nella The Princess Knight, Dora the Explorer, Bubble Guppies and more.


Nick Jr. Play is the latest addition to Viacom Play Plex, a suite of mobile apps for each of Viacom’s major international brands which include Nick Play, MTV Play, Comedy Central Play and BET Play. Nick Jr. Play launched internationally in February 2018.

The launch of Nick Jr. Play follows the success of Nick Play in Australia. Launched with Foxtel in 2015, Nick Play has been installed over 417,000 times and given Australians access to hundreds of Nickelodeon-themed videos, original short-form animations, newly created games, as well as full-length episodes of Nickelodeon’s biggest hits and current top shows via subscriber authentication. Fetch subscribers will be able to unlock the full library of content via authentication in mid-2018.

Nick Play is currently available for download on iOS and Android app stores in Australia and New Zealand. Nick Jr. Play will be available when it launches later this year.
